Q: What grades do you teach?

I tutor English for Grades 4 through 12, covering both Home Language and First Additional Language. Every lesson is tailored to your specific grade and curriculum.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

Lessons are paid in ZAR via PayFast — Visa, Mastercard, instant EFT, SnapScan and Zapper are all accepted. Study guides (R100 each) are also purchased via PayFast. All prices are in South African Rand, no USD or PayPal required.

The two streams are taught differently and examined differently. I teach both, and I adjust the approach to the one your child actually writes.

English Home Language

For learners writing English HL

Frequently asked questions

How do I get my PDF after purchasing? ▼

Once your payment is confirmed, the PDF is automatically emailed to the address you used at checkout. This usually takes only a few minutes — please check your spam folder too! Past papers are available to students who book an online lesson.

What grades do you teach? ▼

I teach English for Grades 4 through 12, covering both Home Language and First Additional Language. Every lesson is tailored to your child's specific grade and curriculum — whether they are struggling and need to catch up, or already doing well and want to push higher.

How long are lessons and which platform do you use? ▼

Lessons are available in 30-minute (R125) or 60-minute (R250) options. Google Meet is my standard lesson platform; Zoom is available by arrangement if required. You'll receive the meeting link in your booking confirmation email.

What is the 10-Week English Success Programme? ▼

It's one complete term of personalised English support for R2 950 — 10 × 60-minute lessons, an initial baseline assessment, a personalised learning plan, relevant study guides and a grade-appropriate grammar workbook, past papers and memos, 2 writing tasks with individual feedback, a final progress assessment, a parent progress review and limited WhatsApp support. You can pay in full at R2 950, or in 3 monthly payments of R1 050 (R3 150 in total). Either option books the full 10-week programme.

How does WhatsApp support work? ▼

Brief questions and clarification between lessons are welcome. WhatsApp support is intended for guidance and clarification rather than replacing a lesson or providing detailed marking. Support hours are Monday to Saturday, 08:00–18:00.

What is your Progress Commitment? ▼

Every learner on the 10-week programme begins with an English baseline assessment, and finishes with a comparable progress assessment. If your child completes the programme, attends at least 8 of the 10 lessons and completes the agreed work, but the final assessment shows no measurable progress from the baseline, I'll provide one additional 60-minute support lesson at no additional cost.

What are your qualifications? ▼

I hold a B.Ed. (Intermediate & Senior Phase) from North-West University, I'm SACE registered, and I have 14+ years of classroom teaching experience. I teach English Home Language and First Additional Language from Grade 4 to Grade 12, aligned to the CAPS curriculum.

Can I cancel or reschedule? ▼

Yes — please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule at no charge. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session may not qualify for a refund.
